Creating Workspaces

Create a workspace to store your Apple School Manager SFTP credentials.

When to Create a Workspace

• First time setting up SDM
• Managing multiple ASM instances
• Separating test and production environments

Steps

1. Navigate to ASM Connection or Settings > Workspaces
2. Click Create Workspace
3. Enter workspace name (e.g., "Production ASM")
4. Enter SFTP credentials:
   • Host
   • Username
   • Password
   • Port (default: 22)
   • Path (optional)
5. Click Test Connection
6. Click Save

Default Workspace

Your first workspace becomes the default. To change:

1. Go to Settings > Workspaces
2. Click on a workspace
3. Click Set as Default

Best Practices

1. Use descriptive names
2. Test connection before saving
3. Create separate workspaces for test/production
